Super food ingredients for fitness snack – cashew energy balls

  • 1 cup cashews
  • 1/4 tsp ground cardamom
  • 1 cup dates
  • 3 tbsp of Cacoa powder (optional – as its perfect for a chocolate fix)
  • chopped zest of 1 orange
  • 1 tbsp orange juice
  • 1 tsp of maca root powder (optional)
  • 1/2 tsp of coconut oil (optional)
  • 1/2 cup shredded unsweetened coconut

Grind the cashews in a food processor, but not too finely as you want to ensure there is a little crunch to the energy balls. Then add in all the ingredients and mix until the mixture comes together naturally. Sprinkle a little coconut or cacoa powder for decoration…
